Thanks to all of you who nominated us for the inau Thanks to all of you who nominated us for the inaugural BBC Make a difference awards. We’ve been shortlisted for the Environmental category. There were 300 charities nominated across the 8 categories - so to be included in the last 32 is humbling.

The team is truly grateful for your support 🥰

Fabulous afternoon at the Wokingham in Need Jubile Fabulous afternoon at the Wokingham in Need Jubilee party. Susan and her team did an amazing job. Whilst we were there, we did a spot of pruning - can’t help ourselves 😆

We were also honoured to meet both the new Wokingham Mayors. Fantastic people who we look forward to working with over the coming years.

We popped over to inspect the Woosehill community orchard. The trees are looking healthy and some already have fruit 🍎😍#theworldisourorchard #community #workingtogether #sustainability #wokingham #freefruit #livingwall #clasp #acorncentre #townmayor #wokinghammayor

If you go down to Winnersh Meadows tomorrow you’ If you go down to Winnersh Meadows tomorrow you’ll see: Wokingham’s answer to Banksy!!

No, in all seriousness you’ll actually see the fabulous volunteers from Hewlett Packard working in conjunction with Amrita from WCGP replacing the wildflower meadow that was once there.

After studying the original map the team are going to reinstate the wildflower meadow in all its glory.

They are also going to mulch and prune the 130 trees in the community orchard that we planted last year.

Thanks go to Laura Buck from Wokingham Borough Council for arranging the mulch 😊 #theworldisourorchard #banksy #hewettpackard #communitygarden #wildflowers #foodforbees #ecology #communityorchard
We spent the afternoon at the Acorn Community Cent We spent the afternoon at the Acorn Community Centre with the wonderful volunteers at Wokingham in Need. They have constructed a sensory garden and installed 4 living wall panels. We donated and planted: 128 🍓 plants; 64 various herb plants; and lots of flowering plants. The living wall is now looking fabulous. We look forward to watching it grow ❤️

Natalie from the local Morrisons also helped out and brought a donation of several bags of compost for the work in the sensory garden.

Thanks also to Cocogreen for providing us with the coconut coir. We’re still able to help so many projects and charities due to your generosity 😊 #theworldisourorchard #wokinghaminneed #sensorygarden #freefood #morrisons #acorncentre #community #communitygarden
