To plant more fruit for people to enjoy in local communities
for free and reduce our carbon footprint as we do it
Once upon a time…
In March 2020 three friends (Ryan, James and Matt) decided to follow their dream of making fruit freely available to everyone and Freely Fruity was founded. The vision to provide food to people and wildlife through planting fruit trees and bushes in local communities. Beyond sustenance, there was the added benefit the trees would directly reduce carbon emissions and lower the carbon footprint of shop bought fruit.
Where it all began
Our Aim
We want to create a positive change by…..
- Reducing carbon emission
- Educating to eat healthy
- Save money from weekly shopping
- Reduce global food waste
- Inspire the younger generations
- developing community spirit
Meet the trustees
Ryan, James and Matt founded Freely Fruity in 2020. They dedicate all their spare time to growing, cultivating and harvesting fruit and vegetables for local communities to enjoy. It’s been a roller coaster setting up the charity but they’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
Big Plans
We have planted several community orchards and worked with children from many local schools. Aside from this we also have our own fruit tree nursery; these trees are destined to be planted in various local community projects. All food grown on site is donated to local food banks and other charities.
Waste facts and sustainability
